Microsoft's April 2026 security patch has changed the Remote Desktop Connection app UI. This change shows new security warnings when you open RDP files and requires manual user input to start printer and scanner redirection.

 

This change will present as the following when attempting to connect to the hosting environment from any icon :

 

The check boxes control the redirection settings of remote desktop that allowed Printers, Scanners, Cameras, Drives, and other features on your local device to become accessible within the Hosting environment.

Following the Microsoft's April security patch the boxes must be checked at the start of each connection attempt to the eMDs hosting environment.
