Release Notes September 2024
Platform
Multi-Factor-Authentication and Trusted Devices
We have implemented Multi-Factor-Authentication/MFA (Two-Factor-Authentication/2FA) and the functionality for Trusted Devices.
Multi-Factor-Authentication/MFA
Since September 1st, 2024, the Multi-Factor-Authentication (MFA/2FA) is mandatory for all users.

Trusted Devices
The functionality for Trusted Devices is already available since July 8th, 2024.
Trusted Devices are the devices that you have marked as trusted. Trusted devices do not require a second authentication factor each time you log in, making it easier and faster to access your account from these devices.

For more information, see article >> Portal Login Management.
Adjustment of date and time format
In order to remain flexible for further features and to achieve consistency, we have adjusted the date and time format across the whole CGM PORTAL.
For example, the system used UTC time in email templates for the email notifications.
As of this release, we consider the time zone of the account / logged in user and use the following format:
| Date Format | Time Format | |
| Europe | 24 Apr, 2024 | 18:05 |
| United States | Apr 24, 2024 | 6:05 PM |
Profile
Settings – Notification Settings & Marketing Preferences moved
As the CGM PORTAL continues to advance with more features, we have reworked the initial design of the "My Profile" menu. Previously, the tabs did not fit well on screens with lower resolutions (e.g., 1200px).
To improve this, we have moved the "Notification Settings" and "Marketing Preferences" to the "Settings" tab.
You can now configure the settings for the language, notifications, and marketing preferences independently using the designated "Save" button.
This way, the system clearly reflects if your set preference has been saved and applied or not. If a preference is changed but has not been saved yet, the button is activated (displayed in blue).
If a set preference has been saved, a message is displayed to inform about the saved setting and the button is deactivated (grayed out).
In case of an error during the change, an error message is displayed.

Note: The preferences set here are independent of an organization change (in case you are assigned to more than one CGM organization). The organization change will have its own "Save Changes" button as it will log you out from the current session.
Additionally, we have removed the direct links to the "Notification Settings" and "Marketing Preferences" from the "My Profile" drop-down menu.

For more information about the Settings in My Profile, see article >> Settings.
Dashboard
Links & Documentation widget – Open links in new tab
When you now click a link in the Links or Documentation widget on the Dashboard of the CGM PORTAL, the link will now open in a new tab.
This way, you can check the available information resources while staying in the CGM PORTAL application.

For more information about the Dashboard, see article >> Portal Overview and Structure.
My Org
Invoices – Filter Invoices & Search for Invoice ID
With this release, you can filter invoices by status (Paid, Not Paid) and also search for a specific invoice using the invoice ID.

For more information about Invoices in the portal, see article >> Invoices.
Support
Cases – New Comment type for Support Cases
In Support Cases, we have added the new comment type System Comment to indicate comments that have been added automatically by the system.

Bug Fixes
In addition to the enhancements mentioned above, we have resolved the following issues to improve your user experience:
Platform
Chatbot – Chatbot closes when clicking a link
If you clicked a link (e.g. an article etc.) in the chatbot and you were directed to the page, the chabot window closed.
With this release, the chatbot window remains open.
SUPPORT
Cases – Position of Comment field fixed
We have fixed the position of the Comment field for cases based on the selected sorting. That means, if the newest comments are displayed at the top, the field to add a Comment will now also be displayed at the top so you do not have to scroll down.
Knowledge
Knowledge Base – Navigation to a second page causes issues
If you navigated to another page within the knowledge base search, the system changed the search term.
The issue was caused if the search term contained special characters and/or blanks (a search with two or more words). This issue has been resolved.
Knowledge Base – Improved display of articles
We have improved the display of knowledge base articles in the Knowledge Base menu as well as in the spot help articles (e.g., in case of tables).
